Strategy Comes in Apathy

Tue Oct 20, 2009, 7:28 PM
Just the other morning, I decided I wanted to Google "helpful hints for writers".
On the subject of my book, I don't need writing help, or suggestive opinions; It was more a curiosity on what's being put out for public aid on the matter. More so, since all the latest books I've been reading don't keep my interest for very long. Chuck Palahniuk has alright material, faring mostly in humor, but his writing style doesn't appeal to me. I could compare him easily to say, Tucker Max, who hasn't written anything other than his own name with words beside it.

So I come across various sites, and decide to really investigate what's causing the slaughter. Surely someone of shit caliber like Tucker Max would have sought aid from one of these places, so, where is he being misled? I found it. On a site I won't name, but is well known, there is a sentence that reads, "Anyone can right a book. There isn't a law that states you have to have permission, and there isn't a requirement you have to have before you begin."

Wrong, fuckholes! Granted, anyone can write a book, but I'm pretty set on the idea that you have to actually KNOW how to write before you begin. People who text with "sup, shorty?"'s and "gudnite"'s should NOT be allowed to take time out from harassing people who aren't on disability to write.

When I go into a bookstore, I really would enjoy reading some new books that don't make me hate the ways you can butcher the English language. Am I being an asshole, or does this make sense to anyone else??

I miss you.

Merry Christmas.

Let's have long talks again ok. I would like that. I don't like that we don't talk anymore. I miss it. I've lost touch with so many people. I don't want you to be one of them. Because I still want you to come visit me in Canada one day. I think it would be a lot of fun. Because I like you. I admire you. "Weird." I bet that's what you think. Because I could see you thinking that. But I just want you to know that you're appreciated and missed.
